DNA/Paternity TestingDNA paternity testing involves the scientific determination of whether a tested individual is or is not the biological father of a child. It is an important and highly personal matter which affects a number of individuals, most importantly, the child. There are two major kinds of DNA paternity tests; a court ready DNA paternity test (taken at a trusted facility) and a curiosity DNA paternity test (safe, at home test). The results of both tests are equal in terms of accuracy however only the court ready test result can be used in a legal matter. This is due to differences in the chain of custody procedures at the time that the specimens are collected. While painless cheek swabs are the “specimen of choice”, non-standard specimens can be tested, with equally accurate results. With a routine turnaround time of 3-5 business days from the date of
receipt of the last sample, you will not have to wait a long time to
get an answer. Whether you have suspicions, specifics, or just want peace of mind, let us help you.
